When I was driving this car back in high school I remember an issue
with 2nd gear. After driving it I can say with confidence that
the issue remains. I can shift into second from first easy enough, but:
It tends to pop-out of second
I cannot downshift from third into second
I am planning on having the gearbox rebuilt by The Roadster Factory (TRF) shop.
Does anyone have any experience with them? Do they do good work? Is it
worth the money they are asking, plus shipping costs?
Haven't been able to test the overdrive. Its a Laycock "A"-type unit.
Hope to get that tested before getting down to the restoration.
