Body

I have gotten pretty far into the evaluation of the body and am proud that there is not much rust to speak of! My main concern for rust is under the dash in the panels that make up the battery box. I've got some other "hits" to think about too:
  • Front and rear valance are dented. Front also looks "bubbly", will need replacing.
  • Left inner-wing is missing the extreme front triangle shaped point that holds the front-lower valance. Will need fabricating.
  • Boot lid is corrisive in the middle along the edge. Will need repairing or replacing.
  • Floor panels are missing round "plugs". Need to purchase.
  • Bonnet's reinforcing frame is rusting in the interior (looking through the holes)
  • Grill is torn in two places and is missing some other pieces. Most likely looking to replace.
Outside of the boot lid and bonnet rust I mentioned above, the other body panels (4 bolt-on quarter panels) look great. No dents and only surface rust in a few places.

Once the repairs are carried out, I will sent all things body to the "bath" to have any gunk and rust removed (basically stripped down to bare metal). From there it will be primed and painted, then re-mated to the restored chassis.
